Hamat Peaceful Hike with LOA

Join us this Sunday for a peaceful trail in Hamat and the abandoned train tunnels.

HIKE DESCRIPTION: Our expedition will begin in Hamat, 225 meters above sea level. We will continue on a delightful walk via old footpaths through colorful fields and olive trees to find the village’s hillocks and enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea below. We will then continue towards the seashore where we will have our lunch break. After the break, we will explore the old abandoned train tunnels.

• Date: Sunday 2nd of February 2025
• Level:  Moderate
• Hiking duration: 4 Hours
• Distance:  10km
• Total Ascent: 200m / Total Descent: 300m
• Meeting: at 7:00 am, Jal-el-Dib, behind DHL, at the parking lot. (We can pick up the hikers who live on our way)
• Departure: 7:30 am (SHARP).
• Breakfast stop on our way (15 minutes).
• Estimated time of arrival back in Beirut: 4:00 pm

To be prepared for this hike, you will need:

• Hiking shoes (waterproof)
• Headlamp or Torchlight (inside of the tunnel)
• Buff/ Beanie / Warm headwear / Warm gloves
• Lightweight windproof /waterproof jackets
• Healthy snacks (sandwiches, energy bars, nuts).Water (2 liters)
• ID & personal insurance cards.
• Don’t forget your positive vibes and smile J

Contribution: 18 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: LOA guides, transportation, but does not cover medical insurance.
