Join us this Sunday for a Snowshoeing trail in Hadath el Jebbeh Cedars Forest
HIKE DESCRIPTION: Hadath El Jebbeh is surrounded by three different landscapes: valleys, forests, and high mountains. The village’s cedar grove, one of Lebanon’s most famous high-density cedar forests, is just stunning. Hadath el Jebbeh, one of Lebanon’s most historic settlements, is well-known for its cultural heritage. The community has a rich historical and cultural past, including the St. Daniel church, which was built in 1110, an antique souk, and many classic stone structures with distinctive Lebanese architectural components from the 18th century. Hadath el Jebbeh Cedar Forest is one of Lebanon’s most scenic and expansive woodlands. It has more than 300,000 Cedrus libani trees and over 100 endangered rock flora.
We will start the trail at the main entrance of Hadath el Jebbeh village and then go up towards the Cedar Forest. We will enjoy a pleasant day snowshoeing old paths inside the forest as we will enjoy a panoramic view of the surroundings. After the hike we shall have a stop at Ward Café for a hot cup of tea or café.
