Akoura highlands “The Howling Wolf”

Join us this Sunday for an exciting trail in the Akoura highlands “The Howling Wolf”

The hike will start at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. We will take a dirt road up to the trail’s highest point where we will enjoy the landscape scenery and the amazing breeze. The track will then lead us to a cross on top of the cliff from which we will experience a breathtaking view overlooking Akoura village and lakes. Then we will walk along the cliff heading back to “Saydet al Arn” where we will end our hike. This expedition will include multiple short breaks to enjoy nature and the scenery.

• Hiking duration: 5.5 Hours
• Distance: 13 km
• Altitude range: 1815-2142m
• Slope Variation: 800m 
• Meeting: at 7:00 am, Jal-el-Dib, behind DHL, at the parking lot.
• Departure: 7:30 am (SHARP).
• Breakfast stop on our way (15 minutes).
• Estimated time of arrival back in Beirut: 5:00 pm

To be prepared for this hike, you will need:

• Hiking shoes
• Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
• Lightweight windproof  jacket
• Healthy snacks (sandwiches, energy bars, dried fruits, nuts…) Water (2.5 liters)
• ID & personal insurance cards.
