Join us this Sunday for an exciting and diverse trail from Ehmej to Arz Jaj.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: We will start our trail in Bkarta, at St George’s church, North of Ehmej. Ehmej, meaning” the hidden place,” is renowned for its unspoiled forests, cliffs, and valleys. We will enjoy panoramic views of spear-like rocks and spectacular sinkholes. The trail is charmingly diverse, with a mixture of landscapes. The area is rocky and mountainous. It is home to wild fruits, apple orchards, and junipers.
Once we reach Jaj village, we will visit its cedar forest, where we will take a lunch break before heading back to Ehmej via a different route, concluding our hike at the starting point. Fun awaits those who want to have an adventurous Sunday with us.

• Hiking duration: 5.5 Hours / Distance: 13 km
• Total Ascent: +700m /Total Descent: -700m
• Altitude range: 1180 to 1680m
• Meeting: 7:00 am, Jal-el-Dib, behind DHL, at the parking lot.
• We can pick up the hikers who live on our way
• Departure: 7:30 am (SHARP).
• Breakfast stop on our way (15 minutes).
• Estimated time of arrival back in Beirut: 6:30 pm
To be prepared for this hike, you will need:
• Hiking shoes, Hat, and lightweight windproof jacket
• Healthy snacks (sandwiches, energy bars, dried fruits, nuts…) Water (2.5 liters)
• ID & personal insurance cards.
Contribution: 20 USD to include: Transportation, LOA guide, and first aid kit, but does not cover medical insurance. An amount of 200,000 LBP will be added to the entrance fees for the Jaj forest reserve.
