Dear Lebanese Outdoor Adventurers (LOA), join us this Sunday for a unique and colorful hike in Dhour El Choueir Village.
Located at 1200m above sea level, Dhour Choueir is one of Mount Lebanon’s most beautiful villages, with many landmarks, some dating hundreds of years. Old caves, water springs, an old souk with stone-paved passages, lovely houses with old traditional arches, and much more will be perceived along this trail.
The hike will start from the main square of the village, passing through a dirt road leading to Ghwab and Tallet Ameid, then we will continue to the old souk. From there, we will walk up on Mar Abda stairs to reach Ain Assis, where we will see the biggest Atlab tree, which is the symbol of the village. Then we will take a path towards the tree house and end the hike there.
