Dear Lebanese Outdoor Adventurers (LOA), join us this Sunday for a snowshoeing trail from Laqlouq to Akoura Frozen Lakes.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: Located in the Jbeil district, Laqlouq is unique due to its raw and beautiful natural surroundings. It is also a major spot for ski lovers. Gleaming! This is the meaning of the name Laqlouq, the gleam of the year-round snows!
The snowshoeing will start at 1770 meters above sea level in the village. We will take a snow path up to the highest point of the trail at “Saydet al Arn” at 2030 meters above sea level from which we will experience a breathtaking view overlooking the frozen lakes and surrounding mountains. After a short lunch break, we will head back towards the village snowshoeing an amazing path between the frozen lakes.
