Join us this Sunday for Darb Mar Charbel Section A3, from Saint Anthony Monastery in Wata Houb to Douma.
Hike Description: The Darb Mar Charbel – Section A3 will begin at Saint Anthony Monastery in Wata Houb, continue through Chatine, and descend to Douma village. This “moderate‑plus to challenging” trail will follow ancient stone paths, terraced slopes, and olive‑lined ridges, mixing steady ascents with scenic descents and quiet woodland stretches. Along the way, crosses, small chapels, and clear waymarks will evoke the route’s pilgrim roots, inviting reflection with every step. The hike will finish in the heart of Douma village.

• Level: Moderate Plus to challenging / Hiking duration: 7 hours
• Distance: 11 km
• Elevation Gain/Loss: +715 – 833
• Altitude Range: 1584 – 1052m
• Meeting: at 7:00 am, Jal-el-Dib, behind DHL, at the parking lot.
• We can pick up the hikers who live on our way
• Departure: 7:30 am (SHARP).
• Breakfast stop on our way (15 minutes).
• Estimated time of arrival back in Beirut: 6:30 pm
To be prepared for this hike, you will need:
• Hiking boots, headwear
• sunscreen & sunglasses
• Lightweight weatherproof jackets
• Healthy snacks – Water (3 liters)
• ID & personal insurance cards.
Contribution: 25 USD to include: Transportation, LOA guides, and a first aid kit, but does not cover medical insurance.
