Join us this Saturday for a Sunset Hike & Swim in Anfeh.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: We will start our hike from Horshieh, where a very cozy path among olive trees will lead us to a small church called Saidet el Khrayeb. We will then continue among the olive trees until we start seeing the sea. The track will then lead to Anfeh, an old village rich in ruins and caves. We will experience the pleasant moments of hiking at the coast, we will visit the salt ponds and an ancient monastery, “Deir El Natour”. We will end the hike in “Tahet El Rih”, where we will explore the Citadel of Anfeh.
The citadel is considered a Crusader ruin, but it was an important place for many other civilizations. The citadel is characterized by its rock-cut trench (Al-Khandaq). This expedition will include multiple short breaks to enjoy nature and the scenery. After the hike, for those who like, we will have a small gathering and a swim at “Salim sur Mer”. Don’t forget your swimsuit at home!
To be prepared for this hike, you will need:
Contribution: 20 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: Transportation, LOA guides, and a first aid kit, but does not cover medical insurance.
