Baskinta Literary Trail Hike with LOA

Dear Lebanese Outdoor Adventurers (LOA), Join us this Monday for a scenic and culturally rich spring hike in Baskinta!

We’ll start at Chakhroub (Michael Neaïmé memorial), hike to Baskinta village, and then return via a different route. The trail features part of the “LMT Baskinta Literary Trail,” including the historic “Saydet El Khelli” church. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Sannine mountain, Zaarour, Mzaar, and Bakish, surrounded by lush landscapes and mountain scenery. This hike perfectly blends natural beauty, cultural heritage, and an unforgettable outdoor experience!

• Date: Monday, April 21, 2025
• Distance: 12 km
• Level of difficulty: Moderate Plus
• Total hiking duration: 5 hours
• Altitude Range: 1062 to 1564 meters
• Meeting: at 7:00 am, Jal-el-Dib, behind DHL, at the parking lot.
• We can pick up the hikers who live on our way
• Departure: 7:30 am (SHARP).
• Breakfast stop on our way (15 minutes).
• Estimated time of arrival back in Beirut: 4:00 pm

To be prepared for this hike, you will need:

• Hiking shoes, hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses
• Lightweight windproof /waterproof jacket
• Healthy snacks (sandwiches, energy bars, nuts).Water (2 liters)
• ID & personal insurance cards.
• Don’t forget your positive vibes and smile 🙂

Contribution: 20 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: LOA guides, transportation, but does not cover medical insurance.
