Dear Lebanese Outdoor Adventurers (LOA), Join us this Sunday for a river and forest hike in Beit Chlala.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: The trail is amazing and highly recommended for stairs lovers and hikers seeking an exciting adventure. The first part of the trail will be along a new part of “Nahr El Jawz” (Walnut River) with a charming passage over historical bridges, historical watermills, suspended wooden bridges, natural rocky gates, and passages next to high cliffs. The end of this first part will be challenging with many stairs leading us up to “Tannourine el Tahta” with a breathtaking view over cliffs, small cascades, and peaks of surrounding mountains. In the second part of the trail, we will take a narrow rocky path within the fissure in the mountain to go up toward the highest point of the trail. From there we will follow a dirt road surrounded by pine and olive trees as we will pass by Saydet Kfar Malkoun, an ancient church before ending our hike at the starting point.
To be prepared for this hike, you will need:
Contribution: 20 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: Transportation, LOA guides, and first aid kit but does not cover medical insurance.
