Join us this Sunday for Darb Mar Charbel Section A1, from Saint Maroun Monastery in Annaya to the Monastery of Our Lady of Mayfouq.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: This challenging yet beautiful trail takes us from Annaya to Mayfouq, crossing agricultural lands near Dabshet An-Nwawis and Farshaa, ancient oaks, and the outskirts of Habil, with distant views of an old Patriarchal See. We then walk through magnificent oak and arbutus forests toward Mechmech, passing by the Church of Saint Tadros, the Church of Our Lady of Qarmish, and Phoenician ruins. The route continues through the oak-filled Qlimus Valley to Lehfed, the birthplace of Blessed Estephan Nehme. Our final ascent leads to the Kfarshilli quarter of Mayfouq, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and deep historical spirit. We end at the Monastery of Our Lady of Mayfouq, where Saint Charbel completed his first year of novitiate.
