Join us this Saturday for a peaceful sunset hike in Falougha, Kfar Selwan lakes.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: Falougha is a peaceful village in Mount Lebanon, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The first Lebanese flag was raised on its mountain, and the town is famous for its freshwater springs and green hillsides, covered by a variety of trees.
The hike will start at Falougha pine forest, at an altitude of 1250 meters above sea level. We will walk up to Kfar Selwan lakes at 1500 meters, then take a dirt road up to the highest point of the trail, where we will enjoy the sunset, with a stunning view of the valley and Falougha lakes. This expedition will include multiple short breaks to enjoy nature and the scenery.

• Level: Easy/Moderate
• Hiking duration: 4 Hours
• Distance: 9 km
• Altitude range: 1250-1600m
• Slope Variation: 350m
• Meeting: Gathering at 2:00 pm, Jal-el-Dib, behind DHL, at the parking lot.
• We can pick up the hikers who live on our way.
• Departure: 2:30 pm (SHARP).
• Estimated time of arrival back in Beirut: 10:00 pm
To be prepared for this hike, you will need:
• Hiking shoes
• Lightweight windproof jacket
• Headlight or Torch light
• Healthy snacks (sandwiches, energy bars, dried fruits, nuts…).
• Water (2 liters)
• Hiking sticks
• ID & personal insurance cards.

Contribution: 20 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: Transportation, LOA guides, and a first aid kit, but does not cover medical insurance.
