Join us this Sunday for a lovely and diverse trail from Kousba to Aitou.
Our trail starts at the Abou Ali River at an altitude of 291m. We will ascend to the Hamatoura monastery, which is at an altitude of 490m. This abbey is known as the “Guardian of the City”. It is built in the rocks overlooking the graceful scenery. The church is the most ancient part, dating back to the 4th century. We will have the chance to walk along the mountain cliff and see three of the most ancient monasteries in the region.
We will pass by St George’s monastery, where we can have a short break before continuing along a dirt road through a pine forest to reach Mar Semman Monastery, at an altitude of 1100m. This trail will include multiple short breaks to enjoy the scenery and a lunch break. The expedition will end in Aitou (Arin Aitou ).

Contribution: 20 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: Transportation, LOA guides, and first aid kit, but does not cover medical insurance.
