Join us this Sunday for a colorful trail in the Qadisha valley/Wadi Quannoubine (Daraj Mazraat Naher – Hawqa- Saydet Annoubin – Mar Aboun – Mazraat Naher)
HIKE DESCRIPTION: The Qadisha Valley, also known as the Holy Valley, is a culturally and historically significant site located in northern Lebanon. It is renowned for its role as one of the earliest and most important Christian monastic settlements in the world. The valley’s unique features include its historical, spiritual, and cultural heritage, its Natural Beauty, its Biological Diversity, and its Architectural and Artistic Features.
Our hike begins at the stairs in Mazraat En Nahr, leading us to the hydroelectric plant’s water basin. From there, we’ll walk along a water canal above Fraidis village to reach Hawka. Next, we’ll head towards Saidit Qannoubine before taking a path to a Roman bridge. After crossing the bridge to the south side of the river, we’ll arrive at Mar Aboun for lunch. After lunch, we’ll return to Mazraat en Nahr via the south side of the valley.

Contribution: 20 USD or equivalent market rate in LBP to include: Transportation, guides and first aid kit but does not cover medical insurance.
