Dear Lebanese Outdoor Adventurers, join us this Sunday for an exciting and vibrant trail in Wadi Naher El Barouk, Moukhtara Valley.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: Our hike will start from Moukhtara and go downhill towards the valley, where we will pass by old historical bridges, built by the Mamluks. We will follow the river to continue along the peaceful water. It will be a pleasant walk among high colorful trees along the river banks. We will cross wooden bridges, a natural pool named “Berket el Aarous”, waterfalls, and three old wheat mills. We will end the hike at the starting point in Moukhtara. The trail is charmingly diverse, with a mixture of colorful landscapes, authentic arched stone bridges, old mills, and a lot of water.
To be prepared for this hike, you will need:
Contribution: 20 USD + additional to the reserve entrance fees (Lebanese: 5 USD / Foreigner 10$) to include: Transportation, LOA guides, and a first aid kit, but does not cover medical insurance.
