1. Preparation
- Research the hike in advance and its level of difficulty. Refrain from participating if you need to return early.
- Prepare the night before: check your personal items (camera, film, watch, etc.).
2. Punctuality
- Be punctual at the meeting point and the designated rallying point for a departure without delays.
3. Recommended Gear
- Clothing: loose-fitting, hiking shoes, hat.
- Backpack: without excess weight, containing:
- Snack
- Water in a bottle
- Trash bag
- Sweater
- A compact and lightweight raincoat
- Waterproof case for ID, wallet, and documents
- Personal kit: glasses, sunscreen, medication.
- Accessories: flashlight, knife, whistle.
4. Behavior During the Hike
- Walk behind the guide and at their pace.
- Follow the guide’s instructions.
- Avoid criticism, suggestions, and personal initiatives.
- Maintain a positive group spirit: avoid horseplay, chattering, radios, and complaints.
- Set your mobile phones to silent mode.
- Keep nature clean: Carry out all trash, including bottles and wrappers, in the trash bag.
- Respect wildlife: leave animals (turtles, hedgehogs, snakes, etc.) undisturbed.
- Do not pick wildflowers.
- Respect private property: stay out of orchards and do not pick fruit.
- Do not accept invitations to homes unless directed by the guide.
- Respect local customs and sacred places.
6. Important Reminders:
- Participants under 18 must present permission from their parents.
- An adult must accompany participants under 14.
- The Hiking Group is not responsible for accidents, loss, or theft of personal items.
- The Hiking Group does not have insurance covering hikers.
- Participants accept the inherent risk of the outings.
- By attending the event you agree that Lebanese Outdoor Adventures is not responsible for any incident during the event.
